Chamber South has become an effective voice for the business community due in part to our valuable committees and task forces. We provide our members with the opportunities essential to business such as various networking events, information updates, and discounted services.

Our governmental affairs committee works diligently to inform lawmakers at all levels about the impact their initiatives have on our citizens. We are working hard on redevelopment issues in our service area to ensure a bright future for everyone. Our participation in the school based KAPOW program has helped it to achieve National recognition in reducing juvenile violence. We have solid relationships with environmental groups to ensure that a healthy environment is recognized as a critical ingredient to a healthy economy. Positive involvement makes this community a better place to live, work and raise families.

Chamber South also serves the business community through direct benefits such as networking opportunities and updates on important issues. Additionally, we address the expense side of their business by bundling the buying power of more than 1,200 representatives. This allows us to negotiate price discounts on things like health and dental insurance, long distance, office supplies, overnight shipping and more.

The mission of Chamber South is to maintain a leadership role in the community through programs, services and events that will enhance the quality of life and economic well being of South Miami, Kendall, Cutler Bay, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Greater South Dade. The link between our quality of life and a thriving business community is undeniable. Without jobs, there is no commerce. Without commerce, there is an erosion of education, recreation, families, the arts and public safety.
